Your journey begins here

The Grand Canyon Loop is the trip guests ask us for most. The full 10-day loop takes in the South Rim, Route 66 through Williams and Seligman, Page and Lake Powell (Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon) and the quieter North Rim before heading home via Las Vegas and Hoover Dam — about 1,400 miles with no punishing driving days. Short on time? The 7-night version skips the North Rim, and the 5-night version focuses on the South Rim and Route 66.

Day-by-day itinerary

The long drive of the trip. Break it up at Valley of Fire State Park.

Yes. 7 nights: San Diego → South Rim (2 nights) → Page and Lake Powell (2 nights) → home via Las Vegas. 5 nights: San Diego → Route 66 → South Rim (2 nights) → home. We recommend 10 days for the full loop including the North Rim.

Mid-May to mid-October. Outside that window we route you through Kanab and Zion instead.

Where do RVs stay at the South Rim?

Trailer Village inside the park has full hookups. Mather Campground is nearby with no hookups. Both book up months ahead.

Do I need a tour for Antelope Canyon?

Yes — Antelope Canyon is only accessible with a guided tour. Book it as soon as your dates are set.

“It was my first time renting an RV and they could not have made it any easier. They were polite, professional, and very accommodating. The RV was perfect for the event I attended. It was a 4 day festival in the desert and everything was perfect. Thank you Mike and our staff for making this experience flawless and amazing. I will definitely be recommending you to everyone.”

“I got a chance to finally book a trailer and loved the experience start to finish. We received top tier service and they always made it a point to treat people the right way, the unit worked out great and everything went as smooth as can be! I would highly recommend giving Stress Free RVs a chance to host your next trip.”

— Andrew FontGoogle

“Rented a trailer for a camping weekend and everything went really well. Was able to pickup trailer and everything worked out well for the weekend. Generator worked good to power the AC and keep everything cool even though we were camping in the desert heat with no shade. Definitely will rent from again.”
